After appearing on shows such as Emmerdale, Waterloo Road, Coronation Street, Celebrity Big Brother, I'm A Celeb and Dancing on Ice between them, brother duo Adam and Ryan Thomas are no stranger to TV, and earlier this year they added presenting to their impressive CVs.

The pair were announced as hosts of ITV/STV's new game show called 99 To Beat, which first hit our screens in March 2025, but it sounds like the show won't be returning for future series.

Will there be another series?

According to TV Zone, 99 To Beat won't be renewed for a second series just yet, with bosses 'reviewing the schedules'.

A source told the publication: "99 To Beat is the biggest entertainment launch this year across all channels and streaming platforms. It reached 12.5 million viewers and was streamed over 4 million times on ITVX. The Thomas Brothers are fantastic presenters, but we are reviewing our schedule and will announce in due course.”

What is 99 To Beat?

99 To Beat is a game show hosted by Adam and Ryan Thomas on ITV/STV.

Bosses say of the new show: '99 to Beat is the game show that anyone can win, but there’s one rule players must follow if they’re to be in with a chance of walking away with the cash prize – Don’t. Come. Last. As contestants battle it out against each other, each round will see the number of players whittled down until one person takes the top prize'.

The first series was made up of eight episodes.

The first look trailer was released on Sunday 9th March, you can watch it on Instagram here.

When was it on TV?

99 To Beat launched on Saturday 22nd March 2025, alongside Britain's Got Talent, which aired earlier this year to fill the slot left by Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

How can I apply?

Applications closed on Friday 28th June 2024 at midnight.

Applications for the first series of 99 To Beat were open last year, with people being urged to apply online.

The application website stated: 'We’re looking for 100 contestants from all walks of life to compete in deceptively simple challenges and be in with a chance of winning a big cash prize. Whether it’s finding a needle in a haystack, screaming as loud as you can or even putting on a frozen t-shirt, the games may be simple but the stakes are high.

'There’s ’99 To Beat’, so if you’ve got what it takes then we'd love to hear from you'.
