As we all prepare ourselves for the 2022 series of hit reality show Married At First Sight UK, bosses have revealed the 2021 cast will be getting back together for a reunion party ahead of the new series!

Dubbed Married At First Sight: One Year On, the special show will update viewers on what happened with the couples once the cameras stopped rolling in 2021.

The one-off episode will feature single cast members Amy Christophers, Morag Crichton, Megan Wolfe, Bob Voysey, as well as controversial contestant Nikita Jasmine, who was removed from the show.

Loved-up couples Adam Aveling and Tayah Victoria will also appear, as well as the show's first gay couple; Daniel McKee and Matt Jameson.

Channel 4 say of the show: 'We’ll catch up with some of the fan-favourite 2021 alumni as we find out the impact of the show and how they’ve navigated life since the experiment finished. With a baby on the way for one couple, to the reopening of old wounds for others – it’s going to be a reunion they’ll never forget.

'As they come together, they’ll reminisce over their memories and best moments from the series, reveal what they’ve learnt and what they’d do differently. Plus, they’ll also be given an exclusive first look at the brand-new series of Married at First Sight UK and the singles who’ll be heading down the aisle.'

Check out which MAFS UK couples are still together:

Adam and Tayah - MARRIED

Adam and Tayah proved love at first sight most definitely IS a thing! These two immediately hit it off on their wedding day, with the pair even saying the L word on their honeymoon.

After zero issues throughout the process, viewers were over the moon when Adam proposed to Tayah for real during their final vow renewal.

Since the final episode, Adam and Tayah have been very loved-up on socials, and the couple welcomed their first child together in October 2022, a baby girl called Beau Emily Aveling. The pair got married for real during a festive ceremony in December 2023, and one year later they announced they are expecting their second baby!

Daniel and Matt - SPLIT

Despite seemingly falling for each other very quickly, Daniel and Matt had their struggles due to Matt living in Leeds and Daniel being from Northern Ireland. The pair remained together during the final vow renewal, and appeared seriously loved-up on social media, even looking to move in together in 2022.

Sadly, Matt and Dan took to their socials in December 2022 to reveal that they had split, admitting that they were better as friends, and that the split was amicable. In November 2024, the pair reunited at an official MAFS party, showing they are still good friends!

Luke and Morag - SPLIT

It's safe to say Luke and Morag didn't get off to the best start during the MAFS process. After Morag confessed she didn't find her husband attractive, the couple struggled with intimacy.

However, by the end of the process, Luke and Morag had seemingly found a spark, with the pair choosing to stay together during the final vow renewal.

Despite this, the pair confirmed during the reunion show they'd split up, with Morag admitting Luke hadn't phoned her since the process ended. However, Luke later said it was because Morag still didn't care for him.

Marilyse and Franky - SPLIT

These two shocked viewers during the final vow renewal when they revealed their true feelings for each other, with Franky even admitting he was ready to move back to the UK from Dubai.

Franky later gushed about his girl on social media, admitting he'd moved to the same town as Marilyse and met her children.

However, on Friday 8th October, the pair both released statements confirmed they'd split. They remain good friends.

Josh and Amy - SPLIT

There's no denying the fact that Josh and Amy had a whirlwind experience during the MAFS experiment. After the pair had initial doubts over their age-gap, the couple experienced a number of fiery arguments and disagreements.

However, by the end of the process the pair seemed closer than ever, with Josh opening up about his feelings towards Amy during the final vow renewal.

The pair have been pretty quiet on social media since the final and during the reunion show they confirmed they are no longer together.

Following the dramatic Australia edition of Married At First Sight earlier this year, which featured couples such as Olivia Frazer and Jackson Lonie, Domenica Calarco and Jack Millar and Ella Ding and Mitch Eynaud, fans were over the moon to hear news that the UK series has started filming.

Relationship expert Mel Schilling confirmed the news in May whilst speaking to Digital Spy.

She told the publication: "Oh my gosh. We are in the process of filming. It's so exciting. You know, all of those love bombs that were dropped in the last season, we are upping the ante this season.

"There's more diversity, there's more interesting matches and surprising matches, more drama that is totally unanticipated, it just bubbles to the surface."

Explaining how the experts struggle to predict the drama, Mel added: "I find every season, it happens both ways where there's a couple where we think 'Oh, this is going to be the next love story' and then they fall to pieces.

"And vice versa, there's a couple where we think, 'Oh, there's gonna be fireworks' and they absolutely love each other. I think that's what keeps us coming back."

At the moment, no official date has been given for Married at First Sight: One Year On, but it is expected to air on E4 later this year.
