The news nobody wanted to hear!
Last updated 24th Nov 2025
Alongside couples like Nelly and Steven, Leigh and Leah, Sarah and Dean, and Keye and Davide, series 10 of Married At First Sight UK introduced fans of the show to Rebecca Fenney and Bailey Smith.
Rebecca and Bailey's wedding aired during the fourth episode of series 10, after experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas decided to pair them together. Here we take a look at the pair's relationship on the show, as well as the all-important facts you need to know about them.
Are Rebecca and Bailey still together?
During an emotional final vow ceremony, both Rebecca and Bailey vowed to make their relationship work outside of the experiment, and they were still together during the reunion dinner party, revealing they'd spent around 50-60% of the time together.
However, on Sunday 16th November, Rebecca shared a photo of herself to Instagram, simply writing: 'To answer all the questions…. Yes, he fumbled'.
Bailey then shared a longer statement to his own page, adding: 'Unfortunately it’s time to share that Bec and I are no longer together… 😔
'We tried our best to navigate life after the experiment, and although we spent a lot of great time together on the outside, unfortunately the relationship came to an end. I still have a lot of love for Bec and I’m grateful for the amazing relationship we shared. I had fallen for Bec completely and it really was a true love story.
'I won’t lie, watching us fall in love all over again on screen has been ridiculously hard to go through and it’s something I’m still struggling with now. But I wouldn’t have changed any of it!
'Sadly I also have to address the various different false online allegations constantly being spread about me since the start of MAFS, which have been hard to deal with. I want to make it very clear, I never cheated on Bec at any point. I didn’t handle our break up well and for that I’m truly sorry to Bec, but I was completely loyal the whole way through our relationship.
'I’m not perfect, I don’t claim to be and I take responsibility for my part in why the relationship didn’t work. Making the decision to end things was heartbreaking and not a decision that I took lightly.
'I’m still heartbroken, but I wish Bec all the best and I always will ❤️'. (sic)
Later in the day, Rebecca then shared another message to her Instagram Story, writing: 'Thank you for all the kind words and messages. I see every single one of them and they mean the world to me.
'Just for clarification - the distance wasn't the reason we broke up. I've seen lots of stories claiming that's the reason, but it's not'. (sic)
In an Instagram story uploaded on 17th November, Bec revealed a little more. Alongside a picture of her sat on her a train, she wrote: 'Thank you again for all the love 🤍 I'm just going through everyone's messages now. It's overwhelming.
'I appreciate everybody has followed me on this journey with Bailey, and our split has come as a shock. I understand you all want answers and clarity.
'We filmed the reunion in June and split the month after, when we were away for the weekend at a festival with some of the other cast members. The breakup completely broke me. I won't drag Bailey's name through the mud, but there isn't any chance of us getting back together.
'I had to get over heartbreak and now I'm in a much stronger position. The second reunion comes out in February'.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan in November 2025, Rebecca said: "Things changed for both of us when we left the experiment, and ultimately Bailey ended the relationship. As Bailey stated in his recent statement, events that happened as soon as he broke up with me meant there was never any chance of us rekindling things.
"We’re now four months on since our relationship ended, and no I wouldn’t class us as friends, but I have no ill feelings towards him. What we shared was so special and I’ll always be grateful for that."
Here's a full recap on Rebecca and Bailey's MAFS UK journey, from their wedding day to their final vows.
What happened on their wedding?
Although Bailey seemed very pleased with his wife on first viewing, the same couldn't be said for Rebecca, who confessed he wasn't her type and alarm bells were ringing. Despite getting teary during her vows, which led to Bailey also being emotional, Rebecca denied Bailey a kiss at the altar, instead making him kiss her cheek.
Rebecca was also concerned that Bailey wasn't the 'alpha male' she was after, despite him revealing to her he's the leader of his group with an extraverted personality. As the wedding reception went on, Rebecca decided to speak to Bailey's friends, who weren't exactly helpful towards their pal...
As well as confirming he isn't 6'4, his friends also revealed he doesn't go to the gym every day and said he changed his dress sense in a past relationship, something which left Rebecca alarmed.
After hearing some of his 'white lies', Rebecca asked Bailey to sleep on the sofa during their wedding night, something he reluctantly agreed to do.
What happened on their honeymoon?
Rebecca and Bailey jetted off to Mauritius on their honeymoon, where they were able to spend quality time together and get to know each other more. Despite wanting to take things at a slow pace, Rebecca and Bailey found a deeper connection when he opened up about the love he has for his daughter, going on to admit he'd love to have more children in the future.
The pair later enjoyed a dance date, as well as feeding turtles, before they were forced to spend all day in their room due to a cyclone which hit the island.
Bailey showed off his romantic side by planning a cute date night in the room, which led to the couple being intimate for the first time. At the end of their honeymoon, Rebecca cheekily confirmed that Bailey was no longer in the 'friendzone'.

What happened during the second commitment ceremony?
Looking cosy together on the couch, Rebecca and Bailey confessed how well they are getting on, admitting the meaningful task the experts set them really helped.

Telling the experts he probably wasn't being full truthful with his answer, Bailey went on to admit it is actually 10/10, confessing he loves her.
Although she said it's a bit too soon to declare her feelings just yet, Rebecca was quick to say she can't imagine her life without Bailey.
The pair both chose to stay with them looking forward to the future.
What happened during the third commitment ceremony?
Rebecca and Bailey were once again full of praise for each other during their third commitment ceremony. The couple confessed they have little to no drama in their relationship and their intimacy is going very well.

The couple both chose to stay.
What happened during the fifth commitment ceremony?

What happened at the final vow ceremony?
After a week apart, Rebecca and Bailey reunited at their final vow ceremony, and it was certainly an emotional one!
Rebecca told her husband: "I think the heart knows when the search is over. And my heart is telling me to stop looking. I have found the man that I have been searching for. So, as I said on our wedding day, to my husband, I say yes to you today, yes to you tomorrow, and yes every day thereafter.
"We don't know where our forever may be, but I think we've both realised that if we're together, we're happy."
Revealing he would "move heaven and earth to make this relationship work", calling Rebecca '"the right person", Bailey later said: "We have found that love that people do strive for."

Things seemed to go from bad to worse for Sarah and Dean as they jetted off to The Maldives on their honeymoon. As well as Dean's singing outbursts annoying her, she brutally confessed she wasn't physically attracted to her new husband, going to to tell producers he would need 'tattoos and to lose weight' before she fancied him.
First commitment ceremony:
After a telling-off from the experts about her 'rude' and 'disrespectful' comments towards Dean, the pair both chose to stay, with Sarah admitting she really wants things to work out.
Second commitment ceremony:
Although they endured their first argument, both Sarah and Dean chose to stay.
Third commitment ceremony:
Despite admitting they wanted to give things another week and both writing 'stay', following honest feedback from the experts, Sarah and Dean chose to leave the experiment, with Dean thanking Sarah for her honesty.
Anita and Paul: LEFT EXPERIMENT
Wedding day:
54-year-old Anita and 60-year-old Paul were the final couple from this year's series to get married. Upon meeting at the altar, Anita didn't seem too thrilled with her new husband, telling producers he wasn't the silver fox she was hoping for, but she did want to get to know him more. During their photoshoot, Anita was optimistic about their relationship when she discovered they'd both been married before, and both have older children.
Honeymoon:
Eager to get to know Paul better, Anita asked questions as they enjoyed a honeymoon in Cape Verde, but she was left disappointed when he admitted he didn't know what love is, leading her to question why he wanted to take part in the show. Anita expressed her frustration further when Paul failed to ask her any questions, admitting she feels like he doesn't want to get to know her, and that she doesn't think he's ready for marriage. At the end of their honeymoon, Anita admitted to producers she doesn't think there's hope for their marriage.
First commitment ceremony:
After refusing to move in with Paul, the pair didn't go into the first commitment ceremony in the greatest of places. Anita chose to leave with no hope anything could be turned around, but because Paul chose to stay, the pair stayed for another week.
Second commitment ceremony:
Anita and Paul were unable to make things work, deciding to both leave the experiment during the second commitment ceremony. Although their romance didn't work out, they did confirm they've made a great friendship.
