Following the success of her BBC One show Sort Your Life Out, fans of Stacey Solomon were buzzing in 2024, as she was announced to host brand new DIY show Renovation Rescue.

Mum-of-five Stacey used her own experience of renovating her family home Pickle Cottage, as well as sharing her enthusiasm for DIY throughout the brand new Channel 4 series, which aired for six weeks in April-May.

Will Stacey return for series 2?

After the news that Stacey has landed her very own reality show with her husband Joe Swash, it's now been announced that she won't return for the second series of Renovation Rescue.

Who is replacing her?

Vogue Williams and Luke Mabbott have now been revealed as the new hosts.

Vogue has two degrees, one in Construction Design and Management and another in Quantity Surveying, whilst Love Island star Luke is a heating and plumbing engineer.

Vogue Williams said: “I’ve done a lot of exciting projects in my career, but I am so delighted to be given the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and get stuck into the second series of this truly brilliant show...

"Home renovation is a huge passion of mine, and I am excited to put my degrees in Construction and Quantity Surveying to the test! I’m very happy to be joining forces with Luke - we get on like a house on fire and I think I’m gonna learn a lot of DIY skills from him.”

Luke Mabbott said: “The fact that Channel 4 are putting their trust in me to be part of this series is just mind blowing to me, but I am so excited. I can’t wait to work with Vogue and help change the lives of people who need just a little bit of encouragement and some simple tips and tricks to make their dream project a reality.”

Clemency Green, Commissioning Editor for Channel 4 said: “We are thrilled that Renovation Rescue is returning to Channel 4. We’re really excited to bring Vogue Williams into the fold and it’s going to give viewers a chance to see her phenomenal talents and skills in a completely new light. Renovation Rescue is also providing us with an opportunity to nurture exciting new talent such as Luke. I know for a fact that they will both bring their unique, warm and most importantly, authentic flare to the format and I can’t wait to see how the pair shine on screen.”

Sarah Lazenby, Executive Vice President for Hello Sunshine Unscripted UK added: “We are delighted to build on the success of our global hit Renovation Rescue with this recommission and cannot wait to showcase Vogue and Luke’s expert talents and infectious on-screen chemistry in the new series. They are a DIY dream team who exude warmth and humour, and I cannot wait to see how they use their combined skill and passion to help others rebuild their dream homes.”

What is Renovation Rescue?

Renovation Rescue is a DIY series on Channel 4. Series one saw host Stacey Solomon help desperate families who have faced home makeover disasters, after being left high and dry by their builders.

Throughout the series, 34-year-old Stacey shared her clever money-saving design tips, as well as her enthusiasm for DIY as she attempts to help the families salvage their half-built homes on a budget.

Stacey said of the show last year: “Too many people are ripped off by bad builders costing them their hard-earned cash and leaving them in chaos. So I’m teaching them the DIY skills they need to save money and get their builds back on track."

Series two will follow the same format, but this time Vogue and Luke will offer their help.

When does the new series start?

No start date has been given for the second series just yet.

Series one started on Wednesday 10th April, with new episodes airing weekly for six weeks.

What channel is it on?

Renovation Rescue airs on Channel 4.
