Applications for Hunted have now closed
Contestants are on the run!
It's been on our TV screens since 2015, and with various celebrity spin-offs, Channel 4 show Hunted has become incredibly popular over the years, with contestants trying to win the prize fund of £100,000.
The premise of the intense show involves a number of paired contestants attempting to become a fugitive for 25 days and escape the 'hunters', composed of former and serving police, and intelligence personnel.
If the fugitives make it to the final day, they are given an 'extraction point' within the UK, to which they end up winning a share of £100,000 if successful without getting caught by the hunters.
Will there be more series?
Yes! Bosses have now confirmed the main show has been renewed for an eighth series!
How to apply for Hunted?
Sadly applications are now closed for the eighth series of Hunted. Before the applications closed on 31st May, Channel 4 said were in search of people who were up for the challenge.
The application page said: 'Channel 4's hit series Hunted, the real-life thriller where ordinary people go on the run, is currently accepting applications for its brand-new series.
'We are looking for duos up and down the country who think they could become real-life fugitives and avoid being captured by an expert team of Hunters tracking them down.
'If you can successfully avoid capture, you could win £100,000.
'Where will you hide? Who can you trust? What will you do?
'If you think you've got what it takes to disappear in one of the most watched nations on earth, apply below.'
Can anyone apply for Hunted?
Channel 4 were looking for applicants aged 18 or over who are able to be away from work and home for four-six weeks.
The website stated: 'We are accepting applications from duos – whether you are partners, friends, family or colleagues – who think they have what it takes to become real-life fugitives and go on the run for up to three weeks, while being tracked by an elite team of professional Hunters.
'You and your partner should complete this form together, or you can also fill out separate application forms which we can combine once you have submitted your application.'
