Melanie C: Everything we know about her upcoming album 'Sweat'
She's released the tracklist
Melanie C, known as Sporty Spice to many has announced she will be releasing a new album next year, and it will feature her current single 'Sweat'. The singer, who dropped 'Sweat' on 17th October, also revealed that her ninth studio album will be her 'most euphoric record to date'.
Along with her Spice Girls hits, Melanie is known for songs such as 'I Turn To You' and 'When You’re Gone' with Bryan Adams. Now the singer is channelling her new music into an album featuring 13 songs, with titles such as 'Pressure', 'Emotional Memory' and 'Free to Love'.
Melanie announced the news of her album on the day her single was released, writing: 'I’m so happy this track is finally all yours. Dance to it. Run to it. Lift to it. SWEAT to it. I grew up on that pure, feel-good energy - and it’s back. let’s gooooooo!' (sic)
Speaking about her album, Melanie explained: "I’ve done a lot of soul-searching. Now I just want to have some fun and get people dancing again.
"There are so many horrific things going on in the world. When you make pop and dance music, it can seem almost churlish. But music is what gets me through tough moments. I'm really happy I am bringing out a joyful record at a very dark time."
While Melanie is known as a singer, she also a DJ, which she's really enjoying, revealing that she used to be a raver back in the early 90s.
Is it supported by a tour?
Melanie has announced it will be supported by a show at the O2 Academy Brixton on 23rd October 2026. No further dates have been announced.

She shared the news on Instagram alongside the album artwork, which shows her holding onto a rope and opening a door in the sky which shows the album's title as if it's the Sun. Fan-favourite 'Where Is My Husband!' appears on the album, as well as emotional track 'Click Clack Symphony'.
Dermot Kennedy - 'The Weight of the Woods'

In January, Dermot Kennedy announced he would be releasing his album 'The Weight of the Woods' in April. The album was created between Ireland and Nashville, and the singer has described the album as "organically" Irish, without trying to force it, he also revealed despite doing work on it in Nashville - home of country music - it wasn't a country album.
ZAYN - 'Konnakol'

Along with announcing the release date for his new song 'Die For Me', ZAYN revealed he will be releasing his fifth solo album called 'Konnakol' in April. The album's unusual title means 'the South Indian Carnatic art of performing complex percussion syllables vocally, acting as a rhythmic language for composition and education'.
