Despite the popular American show Friends ending over 10 years ago, fans can now take a trip down memory lane as Primark open their first ever Friends-themed café. The doors officially opened today (12th June), after teasing the Central Perk inspired café over a month ago.

As if Jennifer Aniston hinting a Friends reunion could be on the cards wasn't exciting enough, in celebration of the show's 25th anniversary the store took to their Facebook page to tease pictures of their new coffee spot yesterday (11th June), writing, 'Less than 24 hours to go until the Central Perk Cafe in our Manchester store opens! Who's excited? 🙌' sic.

And, of course, eager fans were quick to comment on the post, with one writing, 'Oh my god I would love to go to this 😍' sic and another even writing, 'can I bring my Smelly Cat ?' sic.

The café is featured in the Manchester store and, by the looks of it, is everything we could have wished for and more. The new hot spot can be seen to feature the legendary orange sofa, brick wall interior and, of course, the iconic Central Perk sign.

We all know and love it as Friends, but the TV show could have been called something very different...

Despite there being no guarantee of running into Rach or Ross during your visit, you will certainly feel those Big Apple vibes as the café will be serving up New York-inspired drinks, including over-sized cups of coffee (YES).

All beverages will reportedly be served in compostable cups, using ethically sourced coffee beans.

Although the coffee spot currently only features in the Manchester store, it could be rolled out to other stores across the country in the future. Primark have been keen to respond to fans' comments about expanding their range of locations, advising they have 'taken feedback on board and passed it on to our Store Development Department.' EEK!
