Two paramedics injured in crash near Gillingham
Police say a car collided with a roundabout close to the M2 motorway last night
Two paramedics have been injured in a crash at a roundabout near Gillingham.
Police say their ambulance was hit by a car which had just left the M2 motorway last night (Friday 29th August 2025).
Two men and a teenage boy have been arrested.
A Kent Police spokesperson said:
"Patrols near to junction 3 of the coastbound carriageway became aware of a car reportedly being driven in a dangerous manner shortly before 9pm.
"Officers signalled for the car, a blue Volkswagen Golf, to stop. It is reported that the driver made off and left the motorway at junction 4, the A278 at Hoath Way.
"Police pursued the vehicle and left the motorway at the same junction, where a collision at a roundabout, involving the blue Golf and an ambulance, was reported.
"Emergency services attended the scene and two ambulance crew members were taken to hospital with injuries described as non life-threatening."
Detectives are urging anyone with dashcam footage - and witnesses who have not yet spoken to Kent Police - to come forward.
