Two men charged over death of teenager in Sheffield crash

Two men have been charged over a suspected hit and run in Sheffield, in which a teenager died.
Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi suffered fatal injuries in a collision involving an e-bike and a car in the Darnall area on Wednesday.
An 18 year old man was also seriously hurt.
Zulkernain Ahmed and Amaan Ahmed - who are 20 and 26 - are due at Sheffield Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Monday 9th June 2025) charged with murder and attempted murder.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said:
"Abdullah, aged 16, was innocently walking along Staniforth Road, in Darnall, just after 4.50pm on Wednesday (4 June) when a car collided with him.
"It is understood that a grey Audi had driven towards three electric bikes, colliding with one rider.
"As the car continued to travel following the collision with the electric bike, it further collided with Abdullah. The driver of the Audi failed to stop at the scene.
"Abdullah was taken to hospital where, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he sadly died.
"The rider of the electric bike, an 18-year-old man suffered serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital.
"Two people, a man, aged 46, and a woman, aged 45, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender remain on police bail."
