Toddler dies in south east London after falling 'from height'
Investigations are continuing.
An investigation's underway following death of a toddler in south east London.
Police were called to Wynell Road in Forest Hill just after midday on Sunday, to reports a child had fallen from height.
The boy who was aged two was taken to hospital - but he couldn't be saved.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "On Sunday, 18 May at 12:17hrs police were called to Wynell Road, SE23 following reports that a child had fallen from height."
Met officers attended the scene alongside paramedics from the London Ambulance Service who treated a 2-year-old boy at the scene before taking him to hospital.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of the medical staff, he later died in hospital."
The boy's family are currently being supported by specialist officers.
Officers say his death is being treated as unexpected and remains under investigation.
There have been no arrests.
Enquiries into the circumstances are on-going.
