Man arrested after wielding machete outside property in Stockton-on-Tees
Cleveland Police confirmed that armed police were sent to the incident

A man has been arrested after he was seen wielding a machete outside a house in Stockton-on-Tees.
Officers from Cleveland Police were alerted to an incident taking place outside a property on Rottingdean Close in the Roseworth area of the town just before 8am on Sunday morning (March 30th).
When responders arrived at the scene, they found that a man was seen holding a machete outside the house.
Armed police were soon called to the scene, who were able to apprehend the man on nearby Redhill Road.
The man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
According to the force, the man currently remains in police custody and is being questioned by officers.
