Small plane crashes near Warton Aerodrome

A small plane has crashed landed on marshes close to Warton Aerodrome in Lancashire.
The light aircraft is reported to have been dealing with engine problems when it came down near to the BAE site in Warton near Preston this afternoon (Wednesday 5th November 2025).
No one is thought to have been injured and the aircraft is believed to have not suffered significant damage.
The incident has been handed over to Lancashire Police and the Air Accident Investigation Branch.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:
"Two fire engines from Lytham and Wesham attended an incident at 14:52 on 5 November.
"This involved a small aircraft on Bank Lane, Warton, in which there were no casualties and minimal damage to the aircraft. Fire crews remain in attendance making the scene safe."
