Police are treating the death of a woman in Stamford as murder.
It's after they were called to Northumberland Avenue around 2pm yesterday.
There they found the body of a woman in her 40s at a property.
A 50 year old man's been arrested on suspicion of murder.
He remains in custody.
Officers are currently at the scene.
Police say: We are now appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in and around the Northumberland Road area, or any information that may assist our investigation, to get in touch.
