Police name man whose death in Rhydyfelin is being treated as murder
Liam Woolford from Porth died following an incident in Rhydyfelin early yesterday morning
A man whose death in a South Wales village is being treated as murder has been named as Liam Woolford.
The 22 year old from Porth died following a reported disturbance in Rhydyfelin early yesterday morning (Tuesday 23rd September 2025).
Liam’s family said:
“The family are thinking of their loving son Liam at this difficult time and ask for privacy to grieve.”
A 30-year-old man from Rhydyfelin has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
A 22-year-old man from Tonteg has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A 20-year-old woman from Penygraig has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent.
All three remain in custody as South Wales Police's investigation continues.
