Police release images as they investigate rape and assault in Birmingham
Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was raped and another was assaulted in Perry Barr, Birmingham.
Police have released images of a man they would like to locate as they investigate a rape and assault in two separate attacks in Birmingham.
They received reports a woman had been raped on Walsall Road near to the One Stop Shopping Centre at around 1:50am on Saturday (18 Jan).
A short while later, a woman was attacked and left with facial injuries on Aldridge Road near Holford Drive - just a 10-minute walk from the first attack.
Police say they're keeping an open mind as to whether these incidents are linked.
Detective Superintendent Adam Jobson from our Public Protection Unit, said: “If you recognise this person or if you were in the area between 1am and 2am and remember seeing him, please get in touch.
"I want to thank members of the public who have already come forward with information and continue to appeal to anyone who was in and around Walsall Road and Aldridge Road between 1am and 2am in particular anyone who might have dash-cam footage.
"I understand the concern and worry of the local community and I want to reassure you that my team are working around the clock to find this person.
"You will see more officers in the area again today and into this evening to provide reassurance. If you have any concerns please come and talk to us."
The man in the image they have released is described as having short, black hair, slim build, and wearing tracksuit-style bottoms and hoodie.
