Plane bound for Belfast makes emergency landing at Leeds Bradford Airport

A plane on its way to Belfast City Airport has had to make an emergency landing, shortly after leaving Leeds Bradford Airport.

It's reported a lunchtime Aer Lingus service which departed at 12.40pm today (Thursday 5th June 2025) experienced issues with smoke in the cockpit.

We're told no one has been injured - and officials say they're helping affected passengers continue their journeys.

A spokesperson for Leeds Bradford Airport said:

“A flight had to make an emergency landing at Leeds Bradford Airport this afternoon, this was dealt with in line with our emergency procedures.

"We are working to ensure the affected passengers can continue their journey as soon as possible”
