A special music video to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana's charity is set to be released by the Rock choir, recorded inside her family home in Northamptonshire.

Earl Spencer, the brother of Diana, Princess of Wales, hosted the choir at the late royal's family home to celebrate The Diana Award.

It was filmed at Althorp House last month and will be available to watch on October 30th.

Some 350 members of the Rock Choir performed a rendition of Make Your Own Kind Of Music (originally released by Cass Elliot).

The video will feature unprecedented access to the residence's house and grounds, which are also Diana's final resting place.

Dave Easter, Rock Choir lead for the East of England, said: "We had 360 members on the day, it was a wonderful choir to perform with and they did a smashing job!

"Earl Spencer himself gave us unprecedented access to the actual house and grounds itself- we sang inside the house.

"We were there at Diana's memorial, and there's some fantastic shots of the choir around the lake and the music carrying across it.

"It was really, really beautiful."

It will aim to portray how music can bring people of all ages together in a positive and uplifting way.

The Diana Award was set up to promote the princess's belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better.

Dave went on to say, "It was a wonderful opportunity, to be able to go around the grounds with that many people all singing together was a really unique experience.

"The single will be released at the end of the week of October 30th which we recorded inside their dining room- it was all blue, and we managed to cram all the members and microphones in there.

"There were loads of beautiful antiques and chandeliers as well- we had a little chuckle, because it reminded us of the Only Fools and Horses episode!"

Established in 2005 by award-winning musician Caroline Redman Lusher, Rock Choir is the largest contemporary choir in the world with more than 33,000 members participating in some 400 local communities nationwide.

The group's culture and ethos aim to create a supportive and inclusive community that celebrates music and singing.

The fundraising music video will be released to the general public through the Rock Choir's social media channels.
