Man released on bail after death of man on-board cruise ship
A 60-year-old man from West Sussex died on MSC Virtuosa on Saturday night
Hampshire Constabulary are continuing to investigate the death of a man on board a cruise ship.
A 60-year-old man from West Sussex died on MSC Virtuosa on Saturday night, as it left Southampton for Bruges.
A 57-year-old man from Devon arrested as part of the investigation has been released on bail.
Police say they want to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
In a statement, the Hampshire Constabulary said: "Officers are continuing their enquiries into the death of a 60-year-old man from West Sussex on board the MSC Virtuosa, which happened around 8.30pm on Saturday (May 3).
"This afternoon (May 6), a 57-year-old man arrested as part of our enquiries has been released on bail.
"We remain keen to hear from anyone who was aboard the ship, which had departed Southampton around 6pm on Saturday and was still in British waters at the time.
"Anyone who has any information relating to an altercation between two men, in particular anyone who witnessed anything, should call 101, quoting the reference 44250193676."
