A 53-year-old man has made a first appearance in court, in connection with the death of 38-year-old Graham Wright.

His remains were discovered at Rubha Dubh, near Firkin Point at Loch Lomond on the 13th of September, after having been reported missing on the 25th of August.

The last known sighting of Graham was in the Gorbals area on the 20th of August.

His death is still being treated as unexplained by police and officers say extensive enquiries are ongoing.

John Roarty from Glasgow made no plea to a charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice at Glasgow Sheriff Court today, and he was remanded in custody.

He is due to make a further appearance within the next eight days.
