An investigation is underway after a man entered a home in Bootle and exposed himself to a woman inside.

Merseyside Police were called at 11:30pm on Wednesday 30 April to a report that a man had walked into a house on Wadham Road and exposed himself.

The man immediately left the house when the occupant called police and walked in the direction of Miranda Road, the force said.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, and with stubble. He was wearing a black cap, a dark tracksuit top, a dark puffer style jacket and dark combat bottoms. He was carrying a small cross-shoulder bag and spoke with a Liverpool accent.

Officers have spoken to potential witnesses in the area and are looking through CCTV and doorbell footage.

Detective Inspector Sara Lang said: “The woman was, understandably, left extremely shaken by this experience and is being supported by officers.

“We are appealing to anyone who might recognise the description of the man to provide us with information.

“If you live in the area and have any CCTV or dashcam that may capture the suspect, we would also be very interested to hear from you."
