A perfect second half display saw Aldershot win the FA Trophy for the first time in their history, defeating Spennymoor 3-0
In the opening 15 minutes, both sides failed to get a foothold on the game sharing half chances that didn't test the respective goalkeepers.
That was until Spennymoor broke down the left hand side through Finley Shrimpton who had the time and space to pick out striker Rob Ramshaw who, from 12 yards out, had the whole goal to aim at but could only tamely roll it into Marcus Dewhurst's grasp.
The rest of the first half lacked quality, with the only real chance falling to Aldershot's James Henry, who couldn't test the Moor's Brad James with his high shot flying over the cross bar.
It meant there was a lot to improve on for both Aldershot and Spennymoor going into the break, and as soon as second half started, the shots looked like a different team as Jack Barham got himself on the end of Henry's cross, clumsily finding the back of net to put Aldershot Infront on the 47th minute.
Spennymoor just couldn't live with the increase in tempo by Aldershot and with 20 minutes to go a beautify whipped in corner found Dan Ellison's head, who glanced into the bottom left hand corner to put one hand on the FA Trophy.
And that one hand became two when Josh Barret produced a finish fitting of the biggest stage as he a laced a dipping half volley from the very edge of the area into the top right corner.
That made it 3-0 to Aldershot, which is how it ended, gifting the National League side the FA Trophy in their first appearance at Wembley Stadium in 99 years
