Police are responding to a serious incident in Altrincham town centre that occurred early this morning, (30th November).
Officers were called to Railway Street shortly after 3:20am following reports of a disturbance.
Two men sustained serious injuries in the incident, with one described as life-threatening and the other life-changing.
The men were taken to hospital by emergency services for treatment.
Police have arrested one man in connection with the disturbance. He remains in custody for questioning as investigations continue.
Authorities emphasised that the incident is believed to be isolated.
A significant police presence remains in the area and local businesses are likely to face disruption as police conduct enquiries.
