Pete started at Cool FM back in 1999 within the music department and has since become the voice of everyone’s morning, co-hosting Northern Ireland’s BIGGEST commercial breakfast show.
A busy dad to two young girls, with his own DJ residency at weekends, Pete never stops…but he insists he has ‘the best job in the world.'

RBAI (Inst, Belfast)
Ulster University (Coleraine) Studied ‘International Business Studies’
How did Pete Snodden get into radio?
"I fell in love with radio during my P6 trip. I lay in my bed at night listening (missing home lol) and thought that is so cool. I want to be that person playing the songs and entertaining people.
"I learned to mix records, play club gigs and then mixed records on air and progressed to main line programming."
Two truths & a Lie
I have DJ’d in Ibiza and Ayia Napa
Hosted the President Barrack Obamas keynote speech in Belfast before the G8 summit
I ran the Belfast Marathon in under 3 hours (took me well over 4 LOL)
Does Pete have any pets?
No pets. "I'n forever being asked time and time again by my daughters for a dog."
Who is your favourite musician and why?
DJ - Pete Tong (the best selector of all selectors)
Band - Snow Patrol (local heroes)
Singer - Ed Sheeran (Cool FM supported him from the start. It feels like we have been there every step of the way through his incredible rise to stardom and he never forgets that. He always brings it up in interviews and when he plays in NI)
What is Pete’s go-to karaoke song?
Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline. Everyone sings along at the top of their voice so they can’t hear me lols.
What’s been the best gig Pete has been to?
Snow Patrol at Ward Park in Bangor. My favourite band in my home town 5 mins walk from my house. The atmosphere was superb, the biggest event ever in the town in my opinion. It was so good they did it twice more.
Pete's lie is that it took him more than 3 hours to run the Belfast City Marathon (closer to 4 hours instead LOL)
