West Brom set to enter battle for O'Neill signature should Pulis go
Baggies set sights on NI manager as talks about to begin with Scottish FA
Michael O’Neill could seal a deal in the Premiership if Tony Pulis is given the boot at West Brom, it emerged today.
The most wanted man in football is now understood to be top of the Baggies’ wish list.
Pulis has been under fire after several poor results culminating in yesterday’s 4-0 drubbing at home to Chelsea.
Meanwhile, O’Neill will have talks with the Scottish FA over the next few days after being given permission by the IFA.
He’s likely to double his salary with a move to Scotland but the financial rewards would be even greater in the Premiership.
An extra incentive for O’Neill to join West Brom if the manager’s job did become available, would be linking up with three of his key Northern Ireland stalwarts – club captain Jonny Evans; Chris Brunt and Gareth McAuley
