Portadown picked up another massive point in their Mission Impossible season.

Niall Currie’s battlers drew 1-1 with runaway Irish League leaders Crusaders – and they could have ended with all three points.

This was the second week running where the Ports can consider themselves unlucky to have secured just a point.

Two weeks ago they recorded a similar score-line against Linfield.

Jordan Owens strikes for Crusaders

On Saturday at Shamrock Park they fell behind to a Jordan Owens strike but just before the interval, Marcio Soares grabbed the equaliser – his first goal since rejoining the Ports from Crusaders.

Elsewhere, there was dearth of goals with Cliftonville against Coleraine and Carrick v Glenavon both ending in scoreless draws.

But at Stangmore Park there was a six-goal thriller with three goals apiece between Dungannon Swfits and Ards.

Finally, Ballymena United continued their superb form with a 2-1 win at Ballinamallard.
