Rory stays in touch but still work to do
Frustrating day two for McIlroy but Masters dream alive
It was a case of one step forward, one step back for Rory McIlroy as he endured a frustrating second day at the Masters.
After a superb birdie at the 17th the World Number Two hit the pin on the final hole to go one over.
He remains in touch with the leading pack, though.
Heading into the weekend at Augusta, he’s still on course to complete that elusive career Grand Slam – just five shots away from first place.
He said: “I was disappointed to finish like that, but I'm still within five of the lead going into the weekend with better conditions on the way and I still feel like I'm right in this tournament."
