Rejuvenated McIlroy happy with form as he begins bid for another Major
McDowell also all out to win another US Open
Rory McIlroy believes he is in a good place right now as he prepares to tee off in the US Open.
The World Number six has been in top form in recent months and is optimistic he could pick up another Major.
“It feels like it’s been a while since I have been in the mix at this championship so with how my game feels hopefully I can do the right things over the first few days and put myself in a position to win another one,” he said.
McIlroy begins Day One at Shinnecock Hills in New York, around lunchtime.
He is in a three-ball with Jordan Spieth and Phil Mickelson.
