Record-breaker Waterworth at the double as Linfield keep Euro qualification dreams alive
Striker is now Blues top scorer in Europe
What a night for Linfield’s Andy Waterworth …
The striker became the Blues all-time top goalscorer in Europe after a brace in the Faroe Islands.
Waterworth’s double in a 2-2 draw with HB Torshavn brought his Euro strike tally to six.
And it means Linfield’s Europa League campaign is still well on track.
The two sides meet again at Windsor Park next Thursday.
After the game, Waterworth told Linfield's website that he was "delighted" to be considered among the greats of the club.
"It was a tough game to be honest," he said.
"We had great team spirit and we worked our socks off.
"We look forward to next Thursday now."
The game was also marked by Jimmy Callacher's 200 appearance for the club.
