Linfield travel to Glentoran today, knowing their title hopes are hanging on by a thread.

Last week's draw with Portadown saw the gap between the Blues and Crusaders widen to 9 points. Linfield's shot at a title is now beyond a long shot - they would have to win every game, while hoping the Champions begin to drop points.

Although Glentoran's season has been disappointing, manager Gary Haveron is still in the first season of a difficult role. While he's yet to beat the Blues, managing one draw in their three meetings this season, Big Two derbies are unpredictable.

For David Healy, it's been a frustrating season. Draws and defeats have been rare, but that's proven the difference. Even during a difficult spell earlier in the season, Crusaders managed to rack up the wins, inching them ahead of the Blues.

Stephen Baxter's men head to Portadown today, who have the unlikely task of closing an 11-point gap on Carrick Rangers. Although the Ports almost snatched a surprise win at Windsor Park last week, their Premiership future looks limited.

Cliftonville are trying to securing third place this season, but they face a serious challenge from Coleraine. The Bannsiders have flown somewhat under the radar recently, despite racking up 6 consecutive league wins.

Ballymena won't soon forget winning their first ever League Cup, but David Jeffrey made it clear just minutes after the final whistle that his aim is cracking the top 6 - something the Sky Blues are yet to do in this era of the Premiership. They sit 5th at the moment, and today make the trip to Ballinamallard. The Mallards look safe to avoid relegation - although they will be grateful for Portadown's point deduction, and Carrick's struggles.

As for Rangers themselves, it appears as if they're prepared for an 11th place finish, and a playoff. Catching the Mallards seems impossible, and the Ports' dire situation spares Carrick, who today host Glenavon. Gary Hamilton's sides best hope for the season is a top 6 finish, as they've failed to repeat the league success of the previous campaign.

Dungannon won't have given up on a chance of catching Glenavon and sneaking into 6th place. Today, they're hosting Ards, whose incredible start to the season means a safe bottom-half finish is almost inevitable.
