Northern Ireland’s senior women’s team are set to face Slovakia in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night.

After losing out to Norway and the Republic of Ireland in the first two games of their campaign, the Senior Women will be aiming to put points on the board with a result in Zilina.

Captain Marissa Callaghan says the mood among the squad remains positive.

"It was rough for the first few weeks after those two games. We just didn't play to our strengths. But we still all came into this camp positive and fresh."

"Slovakia are 4th seeds and we're 5th seeds, so this a game we have to target, and try to get a good result," said Callaghan.

"They're a good side, good passers, they like to move the ball about. They play both the left and the right back very high up the pitch so it's something we need to try to exploit on the counter attack. We just need to play to our strengths."
