Northern Ireland claimed an encouraging 3-1 win away to Luxembourg in their friendly on Friday night.

Manager Ian Baraclough's side have now made it three games without loss.

Josh Magennis had given Northern Ireland an early advantage with an excellently-taken finish.

That however was cancelled out after the break by Marvin Martins' header from a corner.

Baraclough’s side return to action in Belfast on Tuesday night when they continue their Nations League preparations by hosting Hungary in a friendly.

Friday night's contest was a first match for Northern Ireland since they ended their World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign with an impressive 0-0 draw with Italy at Windsor Park in November.

That was a result that sent the European champions into the play-off that they lost against North Macedonia on Thursday.
