McKenna Cup kicks off with wins for Derry, Tyrone and Armagh
Derry, Tyrone and Armagh all had opening wins in the Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup yesterday.
Mickey Harte’s holders, Tyrone, ran riot with a 4-20 to 2-11 victory over Antrim.
Derry had a one-point win over Ulster University while Queen’s suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Donegal.
Armagh beat Down thanks to two second-half goals - with Fermanagh picking up their first victory under new boss Rory Gallagher.
