Linfield have signed Ethan McGee from Dungannon Swifts for an undisclosed fee
The 21-year-old, who has already made over 100 appearances for Dungannon, having come through the ranks at the Tyrone side, moves to Windsor Park on a two and a half year deal.
“Ethan is a player we have been tracking for some time now and he is one of the brightest young talents in the league," said Blues boss David Healy, speaking to the club website.
"Ethan is a very versatile player who can play in a number of positions and is a welcome addition to our squad.
"I would like to place on record my thanks to our Head of Recruitment Willie McKeown for all his hard work in bringing Ethan to the club. I would also like to thank the board for their continued support and backing.”
Elsewhere, Coleraine and Glenavon have swapped goalkeepers, with Rory Brown moving to the Bannsiders from Mourneview Park and Gareth Deane going in the other direction.
Meanwhile, new Newry City Manager Barry Gray has made his first signing since taking over at The Showgrounds this week.
He's brought in Steven Ball from former club Warrenpoint Town. The left-side player has scored 8 goals in 9 games for the Premier Intermediate League side so far this season and moves to City on a long-term deal
