Linfield are Irish Premiership champions again - having won the Gibson Cup for a record-breaking 57th time.

The Blues, 19 points in front of nearest rivals Glentoran, secured the title without kicking a ball and with six games to spare.

That is because the Glens needed to beat Larne last night (Tuesday) to have any chance but could only draw 2-2 at the Oval.

And the records keep coming for Linfield as they also became the first side to win the title before the traditional end-of-season split.

It also the sixth title David Healy has won as Blues boss.

Elsewhere, last night Coleraine drew 2-2 with Cliftonville.
