Linfield boss David Healy and defender Jimmy Callacher made it a special night for the Blues after they picked up the top accolades at the NI Football Awards last night (Monday).

Healy was named manager of the year at a gala evening in Belfast – after leading his side to another Premiership title and League Cup win.

Callacher scooped the Danske Bank Player of the Year gong after a superb season in the heart of the Linfield defence.

Elsewhere, 18-year-old Ballymena star, Kofi Balmer was named Young Player of the Year while Northern Ireland and Watford’s Craig Cathcart took the International Player of the Year.

The Golden Boot, for the most goals scored, was shared between Linfield’s Andy Waterworth and Joe Gormley from Clitfonville.
