Larne take a huge step towards first Irish Premiership crown

Larne took a significant step towards the Irish Premiership title on Friday night.

They are seven points clear at the top with four games remaining - it's after their 2-0 win over Glentoran, combined with Linfield being held 0-0 by Crusaders.

Paul O'Neill opened the scoring for Tiernan Lynch's side, before Lee Bonis added the second.

Ronan Hale netted an injury-time equaliser as Cliftonville drew 2-2 with Coleraine.

10-man Newry City still had enough to beat Carrick Rangers 2-0.

Dungannon Swifts and Glenavon drew 1-each. There was success for bottom side Portadown who edged out Ballymena United 1-0.
