Kilmacud formally awarded title after Glen's withdrawal from appeal process
Kilmacud Crokes have been awarded the All-Ireland Club football title after Glen's decision to withdraw their appeal into the Dublin team having a 16th man on the pitch in the closing stages of last month's final.
Glen had placed a challenge to the outcome of the match with the GAA subsequently ordering a replay.
Kilmacud counter-objected with Glen then opting not to further pursue the matter.
The club said at the time they did not believe the conditions existed for the replay.
Kilmacud have now been formally confirmed as champions.
