Ulster wing Jacob Stockdale was waiting today (Tuesday) for the result of an MRI scan on a new ankle injury.

The 26 year old was taken off during their United Rugby Championship clash with Leinster at the Kingspan last Friday night.

Stockdale has only returned to the side after a lengthy period on the sidelines with an injury to his other ankle.

In a statement, Ulster said: "This injury is unrelated to the left ankle issue that side-lined him last season."

Meanwhile, Rob Herring suffered a concussion during the first half of the same game, and he will now follow the Graduated Return to Play protocols.
