Ireland saw their T20 World Cup Cricket campaign end in defeat on Friday.

New Zealand's 35 run win took them into the semi-finals, combined with the margin of Australia's win in Adelaide over Afghanistan.

For Ireland, it will be a fifth-place finish in the group. It means they will still have to qualify for the next T20 World Cup which is in 2025.

Only the top four sides in each group are guaranteed their spot at the following tournament.

However there has been plenty to be impressed with in Andrew Balbirnie's side's campaign. They beat the West Indies in the initial qualifying phase before stunning England in the Super 12s.
