Carl Frampton has revealed that his next big fight is likely to be in the US.

The Jackal is mapping is route back to a world title after losing to Josh Warrington (main pic).

Speaking to Downtown & Cool FM, he said: “A lot of people talk about making memories on these big trips to New York, Texas and Las Vegas – and yes I would like another stateside fight.

“I love fighting in Belfast too but I am not a champion any more so I can’t really tell one of the champions to come to me.

“I’ll need to go and chase a belt and I am prepared to fight in the States – and I think the fans love to travel as well and we travel in big numbers.”

Frampton lost to Leeds boxer, Warrington, in an IBF World title fight in December.

He is currently in talks with promoter Frank Warren about his next move – and is keen to fight Oscar Valdez or have another crack at Leo Santa Cruz.

And the Belfast boxer has not ruled out changing weight divisions – however difficult.

“If you look at the size difference between me and Warrington – he was a much bigger man than me,” he said.

“So moving up a weight is going to be very difficult – if I get the right champion potentially.

“Moving down a weight is maybe even an option – so I am open to listening to anyone.

“If anyone has any ideas about what I will do in my career then we’ll see."
