So near yet so far ... as Belfast side miss out Play-offs title
The Belfast Giants have just missed out on an unprecedented major treble helping of success this season.
After picking up both the Elite League and Challenge Cup titles, they had reached the Play-Offs final last night.
But they were denied a history-making end to the year by a Cardiff Devils late strike.
That meant Adam Keefe’s side going down 2-1 – and the title going to the Devils, their close rivals all season.
