Glenavon are through to the final of the Mid-Ulster Cup after beating Portadown 2-1 at Shamrock Park last night.

Conner Byrne, who plays for Northern Ireland's under-16 team, made his first-team debut in goals for the Lurgan Blues at the tender age of 14.

Adam Foley and Jordan Jenkins were on target for Gary Hamilton’s side with Peter Duffin grabbing a consolation goal for the Ports.

Among the other teenagers on show was Robbie Norton (pictured).

Glenavon now go through to the final of the competition where they will meet Newry City or Banbridge Town.

During the evening, a tribute was held for the late Victor Gordon.

The renowned Portadown Times journalist, who died in September, was honoured by the club with the Shamrock press box being named after him
