Giants top after weekend win double

Victories over Manchester Storm and the Nottingham Panthers

The Belfast Giants are now joint top of the Elite League after a double-winning weekend on the road.

After beating Manchester Storm 4-3 on Saturday, Adam Keefe’s side battled back from two goals down to claim a 3-2 overtime victory in Nottingham over the Panthers yesterday evening.

Darcy Murphy’s vital goal at 63:40 completed a famous comeback as the Giants made it a four-point weekend.

The Giants will return to the road for three Elite League games in Scotland next weekend. First up is the Fife Flyers on Friday, Saturday vs Glasgow Clan and then Sunday against the Dundee Stars.
