Linfield are back on top of the Danske Bank Premiership after hammering bottom-of-the-table Warrenpoint 5-0.

The Blues were commanding from start to finish at Milltown.

A Simon Kelly own goal got them under way with further strikes from Daniel Kearns and Michael O’Connor.

The Point were reduced to 10 men with keeper Adam McCarey’s dismissal. Andrew Mitchell converted a penalty before Andy Waterworth bagged a fifth.

David Healy’s side are still unbeaten – with 14 points now from six games.

By contrast, the Point are in deep trouble at the foot of the table.

They are the only team still without a point.

Elsewhere, last night, Glentoran beat Newry City 4-1 while Cliftonville enjoyed a 3-0 win over Institute at Solitude.
