Enniskillen swimmer Ellie McCartney has sealed her place in the World Championships - after breaking the Irish Championship record.

The 20-year-old produced the swim of her life last night (Tuesday) in the semi-finals of the 200m breaststroke at the Irish Open Championships in Dublin.

Her time of 2:24.35 was well inside the 'A' standard qualifying time for the worlds in Singapore in July.

Later, Co Armagh twins Daniel and Nathan Wiffen will go head to head in the 1500m freestyle final.
