Elite Ice-Hockey League: Giants bounce back after opening round defeat

The Belfast Giants grabbed their first win of the Elite League season campaign last night (Sunday) thanks to a 5-3 win over Coventry Blaze.

A Scott Conway hat trick and a double for defenceman Kevin Raine (pictured) saw Adam Keefe’s men through a tight encounter which was tied at 3-3 heading into the final 10 minutes.

The previous night they lost their league opener - 3-2 away to Cardiff.

Next up for the Giants is a trip to Manchester to face the Storm next Saturday 23rd October at 7:00pm, before returning home to face the Dundee Stars in Challenge Cup action at The SSE Arena, Belfast on Sunday 24th October at 4:00pm
