Danske Bank Irish Premiership: Linfield's lead at top cut to single point
Linfield's lead at the top of the Danske Bank Irish Premiership is now down to just a point.
Last night (Tuesday) the Blues were held 2-2 at Solitude in a thrilling encounter with Cliftonville.
Ethan Devine (pictured immediately above) came off the bench to rescue a share of the spoils for David Healy's side.
The 20-year-old signing from Knockbreda headed home with only five minutes left.
Earlier, Cliftonville had taken the lead through Jamie McDonagh (pictured below) before Matty Clarke equalised with a bullet header.
McDonagh, who was outstanding throughout, then made it 2-1 following a pinpoint pass by Kris Lowe.
Clarke then turned provider for LInfield's vital equaliser.
Elsewhere, second-place Glentoran beat Coleraine 2-1 while Larne won 3-0 away to Warrenpoint with new signing Lee Bonis grabbing his first goal for his new club.
Carrick beat Ballymena 3-0 while Glenavon saw off Dungannon Swifts 3-1 despite trailing 1-0.
Meanwhile, Portadown, with new manager Paul Doolin at the helm, lost 1-0 at home to Crusaders.
