Team NI have equalled their record haul of Commonwealth Games medals.

Boxers Dylan Eagleson, Amy Broadhurst, Michaela and Aidan Walsh (main pic) all won their quarter-final bouts yesterday (Thursday) and are now guaranteed at least a Bronze.

That brings the overall medals tally to 15.

Aidan Walsh, who won Olympic Bronze, progressed after a win over European champion Harris Akbar, in the light middleweight competition while his 29-year-old sibling Michaela beat Botswana's Keamogetse Kenosi in their featherweight contest.

Meanwhile, Eagleson (19) from Bangor went through after a 5-0 quarter-final victory over Armando Rugoberto Sigauque from Mozambique in the bantamweight division.

And 25-year-old Broadhurst had a lightweight quarter-final win over Zambia’s Felistus Nkandu.

All four boxers will compete again tomorrow (Saturday).
