Linfield are through to the semi-finals of the County Antrim Shield after beating Cliftonville 5-4 on penalties last night (Tuesday) at Solitude.

The game went to spot-kicks after the scoreline was 1-1 at full-time.

Andrew Clarke had given the Blues the lead but then Joe Gormley (above) equalised.

Linfield will now take on Glentoran for a place in the final.

The Glens booked their place with a 4-1 win over Ards.

But the shock of the night was at Carrick where Stuart King's side lost 4-1 to Championship team Dundela.

The Belfast side who are currently third in the second tier, will now play holders Larne who beat Ballymena United 1-0.

The semi ties will now be played on November 15th.
