Glenavon have closed the gap at the top of the Danske Bank Premiership to five points.

They Lurgan Blues beat Glentoran 3-1 last night at the Oval to keep the pressure on Coleraine.

Sammy Clingan bagged two penalties with Andrew Mitchell scoring their other goal.

Robbie McDaid had opened the scoring for the Glens.

They stay sixth on 22 points
